An outdoor Summer wedding with an editorial twist at Coton House Farm.
This insanely gorgeous day was super special for us, because the bride is another supplier in the wedding industry who we've worked with, who also happened to plan the entire wedding in 5 weeks. Everything came together so beautifully and we loved getting to be a part of their celebration.
After capturing a flat lay with all their pretty things, along with some ceremony details of their outdoor ceremony space, we split our time between Jess, who was getting ready in the Rolo suite, and James, who put the finishing touches to his outfit on in the Maverick room.
We organised two first looks - one with Jess' bridal team and another with her dad. Both had the sweetest reactions! We always love getting those reveal moments on camera.
J&J's outdoor ceremony felt like we'd been transported to Italy. It was an absolute scorcher of a day, during yet another British heat wave, and the florals and drapes worked perfectly to tie everyting together. With an emotional entrance and personal vows, it's fair to say there were a few happy tears shed while these two tied the knot.
After an aisle exit and fun confetti tunnel, we got to work capturing their formal family and bridal party photos, keeping everyone as shaded as possible, and making sure there were drinks to hand.
These two had a particular vibe in mind for their bridal party photos and it's safe to say everyone got the memo! We had so much fun creating a selection of editorial shots with them along with some more natural photos, too.
For their couple portraits, we also did a couple of quick editorial shots, then went for a short wander to the shaded path nearby and later snuck away while the guests were being seated to take some pretty veil photos. The weather being crazily hot meant we decided to split things into little chunks to keep Jess & James as comfortable as possible. It was also a safe bet that we'd be getting a golden hour later in the evening, so we knew we'd have chance to take them out again when it would hopefully be a bit cooler.
J&J had opted for a twilight wedding ceremony, so their drinks reception was a bit shorter, but we still grabbed some candids of their guests chatting and laughing, and quickly captured their beautiful wedding breakfast set-up, before their entrance and speeches.
After their meal, J&J shared a sweet first dance together before welcoming their guests onto the dance floor with them - always an absolute blast to capture!
We were lucky enough to get a gorgeous golden hour after their first dance, so we headed out with J&J to a little country lane and wandered through a nearby field finishing the day with some lovely portraits as the sun began to set. What an utter dream of a wedding, which these two definitely deserved.
