Emily & Matt tied the knot in April 2025, at the lovely Plough Inn at Eaton. We've worked at this brilliant venue a couple of times before and we've always loved it, so we were super excited to be back. These two had selected our Pendulum package, so we were on both photography & videography for the day.
The sun was beaming from the moment we arrived at Emily's parents' house, where she and her bridesmaids were getting ready. We spent some time there capturing their morning preparations with the fabulous Chloe (Cheshire Makeup Co.) and Charlotte (Charlotte Auty Bridal Hair) along with both Emily & Matt's details. Setting up those detail shots is one of our favourite parts of a wedding morning, as they're so creative and unique to each couple and really set the scene for their day.
The girls were having such a chilled morning, whilst still moving along at a really nice pace and steadily getting the whole gang glammed and ready to go! We loved the cute brunch platter they'd put together along with an adorable cake, though it did result in a few burned waffles and shaking a toaster out in the garden - all part of the fun!
The Plough Inn was less than 5 minutes away from there, so we nipped across to grab some shots of Matt and his groomsmen getting ready, and passed on the wedding rings and details we'd captured earlier. The incredible Flossies had pretty much finished setting up the ceremony room, so we took some photos and footage of the room, got the drone in the air for a few minutes and then headed back to Emily and her girls.
E&M's colour scheme was a mixture of beautiful pastels with each bridesmaid wearing a different shade, but she'd even been thoughtful enough to get each bridesmaid matching PJs in the colour of their dresses. We just had to capture them together so the hair & make-up artists kindly took a 2-minute break while we nipped into the garden with the girls and a few glasses of prosecco in hand.
Next, Emily got into her stunning dress and we had a few moments with her before setting up a first look with her Dad - which had everyone (including us) in tears. Her bridesmaids had actually hidden in the utility room while it was happening so they didn't accidentally see her (have we mentioned how freaking brilliant those girls were?!) So we led them out into the garden for their own reveal with Emily afterwards. Cue more tears and lots of hugging!
Leaving Emily to have a few special minutes with her family and friends, we drove back to The Plough Inn and set up our steady camera angles and audio, whilst also capturing the guests and Matt waiting for his bride in the ceremony room.
E&M had a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony featuring personalised vows which were both hilarious and super emotional. There were plenty of tissues in hand amongst their guests! A really cute touch was the fact that their dog Mila joined them for their aisle exit and was literally the most well-behaved pup we've ever seen, actually standing up when the registrar asked everyone to stand!

After their exit, we set up a confetti tunnel for the new Mr & Mrs which are always a blast, followed by a group shot of all their guests and some formal group photos with their family, beautiful daughter and bridal party. Our favourite has to be the editorial shot of the whole bridal party at the front of the venue, those colours are insane!
For their couple portraits, E&M wanted to keep things really natural - which is exactly our vibe - so we just gave little prompts and got some pretty photos of them with Mila, and them alone a the front of The Plough - that doorway was MADE for portraits, and the colour just looked amazing next to Emily's bouquet. We spent maybe 10 minutes on these portraits in total before they headed back to their drinks reception, as spending time with their guests was their top priority, but we were super happy with everything we shot - E&M were so incredibly lovely and just had some time together to soak it all in, which led to lots of sweet moments to capture.
Their drinks reception featured lawn games, drinks and a magician, so of course we jumped straight into more candids and had a brilliant time capturing their guests reactions. We also popped back to the ceremony room, now transformed by the incredible team at The Plough and Flossies ready for the wedding breakfast, and captured details of the room along with setting up all our videography equipment ready for their speeches.
E&M had a lovely entrance into the room when all their guests were seated and we cracked on with some amazing speeches from her dad, Paul, the best man Fred and Matt himself. The gorgeous beams throughout the main room at The Plough made for some awesome shots, but also meant we couldn't move around too much during this so, as a team, we communicated on re-adjusting the angles each of us could reach and made sure we got both photography and videography of their speeches without being disruptive - our hand signals definitely came in handy there!
After the wedding breakfast, the most glorious golden hour was quickly approaching. Everyone went back outside and the lawn games were immediately taken up again! E&M spent some time with their lovely guests and then we decided to go for a 10-minute wander up the road to a local park the venue had recommended for some golden hour gorgeousness. This was possibly our highlight of the day - that light was absolutely unreal and E&M were just able to be themselves with a little guidance of where to go, and everything just came together.
E&M didn't want to do a cake cutting so their band - the fantastic The Reverie - made sure everyone was congregated around and ready for their first dance, leading into a packed dance floor. Both guitarists from the band actually ended up out on the floor too at various points which was such a cool touch! We captured plenty of dancing along with some hilarious shots of the photobooth set up on the mezzanine, before packing up and heading home, still buzzing from their downright incredible wedding.
As always, we can't thank the fabulous suppliers on the day, enough. They all came together for a flawless wedding day for E&M, and we're so grateful to be a part of it.
